# 1887 Price $350, Grade (B-) |
This model M1872 officer's sword would be a fine starter piece for a beginner collector, not perfect, but reliably honest. The relatively short blade is in good condition with a few barely visible nicks in the edge and a beautiful patina. The brass guard is adorned with the American Eagle and Stars and the pommel wears the U.S. Shield. The grip retains a thin coating of its leather with braided wire wrap 100% in good condition. The nichol plated scabbard is in good condition. |
