We update this website at least weekly and more often following transactions. With many items selling quickly, there is the possibility of lag time in posting. When you enquire about an item, you will be given a firm commitment of that item's status. We will happily reply to your inquiry and will conduct ourselves honorably with friendly courtesy. We reserve the right to refuse service to rude people. Honor above all else.

Feel free to make an offer. That is how we buy our inventory and we like to negotiate the best deal for you we can. When we recieve your offer, we will acknowledge reciept of your offer, the item will be marked PENDING, and the item will be placed on hold for three days to allow sufficient time for you to further consider the item and complete our negotiations. If no agreement is reached, within three business days following the item being placed on PENDING, the item will be released to sales inventory.

Upon reaching a purchase agreement, we will acknowledge acceptance of your offer and the item to be purchased will be marked HOLD. The item will then be placed on hold for five business days awaiting our receipt of payment. Items not paid in full within five business days, in accordance with the terms included in our offer acceptance acknowledgement, will be released to sales inventory. All sales are finalized at our sole discretion.

Upon receipt of payment, the item will be marked SOLD. Items paid by Pay Pal, money order, cashier check or certified check will be accepted and processed for shipment immediately. Additional Pay Pal fees may be applicable and paid by buyer. Personal checks are also acceptable, and items will be held until a personal check clears the bank (usually within 10-days). Checks should be made payable to American Swords. North Carolina residents should add 7% sales tax.

Once payment is posted to our account and/or checks cleared, we will usually ship your item the next business day, but in all cases within five business days, via USPS Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation required unless otherwise agreed. We will notify you via email the day the item is shipped and provide tracking number, carrier and anticipated date of delivery. All items shipped must be insured at your cost to coverage limits greater than or equal to the purchase cost. We ship only to the continental US and shipping costs are paid by you and are non-refundable.

Any item may be returned for any reason for full refund of purchase price within five business days of delivery if returned in same condition as sold. The same condition means; unaltered, un-cleaned, undamaged and the same piece sold. The buyer will be responsible for return shipping cost. Prior to return shipping, we must be notified as to the reason for return and given the return shipping tracking number and carrier. Refund checks will be mailed within five business days of acceptable receipt of returned item.

We offer a 60 day lay-away with a 25% initial non-refundable lay-away payment due within five days to hold the item. Lay-away items will be marked PENDING. Final payment of lay-away items is due within 60 days and upon receipt of final payment the item will be marked SOLD. Items not paid in full within 60 days will be released to sales inventory.
